So how come we to times as these

Beseech with lordly frown

Stabled to a wonders way

Those that bore the crown

Sunlight spreads across the sky

With summers days so few

We sport about on endless ways

With our crown so new

Though the summer has its way

We spend our time anew

For what we sought we seldom we see

Is a crown so true

We find the crown we hold

Glimmers bright and gay

Yet for us this seeming day

Shading the day with darkness
